Ephemeral Mode

Disable auto-save to prevent conversation history from being stored. When disabled, all chats exist only in memory.

Take full control of your conversation privacy with the Ephemeral Mode setting in Settings > Data Management. Disable auto-save globally to prevent all conversations from being stored in the database. When ephemeral mode is enabled, every new chat becomes temporary by default—your messages exist only in your browser's memory without being saved to data base.

This is different from the per-chat temporary chat toggle. Ephemeral mode is a global setting that applies to all your conversations automatically. Once enabled, you don't need to click the temporary chat button for each new conversation—everything is already set to ephemeral. Perfect for users who want maximum privacy and don't want any conversation history stored permanently.
