Web Search Citations

When web search is enabled, see full citations with links to sources. Verify information with transparency.

Every web search result includes numbered citations [1], [2], [3] that link directly to source material. Select any citation to open the original webpage and verify the information yourself. Citations display the full URL and page title, giving you complete transparency about where AI-generated information comes from.

You'll find a collapsible citations section that shows all the sources the AI referenced. Select to expand or collapse the citations display at any time.

Your preference is remembered—if you expand the citations section, future responses will show it expanded by default. If you collapse it, future responses will keep it collapsed. This smart behavior adapts to whether you prefer to access sources immediately or keep the interface clean.

This feature works automatically whenever web search is enabled in your conversation. Perfect for research, fact-checking, or whenever you need to verify AI-generated information with original sources.
