Track unread messages across your group chats and channels with a real-time unread indicator system. Visual badges display the exact number of unread messages in the sidebar next to each conversation, helping you quickly identify where new activity has occurred.

The unread tracking system intelligently filters notifications to prevent showing badges when you're actively viewing content. When you open a chat or channel, the system automatically marks it as read and removes the unread badge. If you're currently viewing a conversation when a new message arrives, you won't see an unread indicator—the system knows you've already seen it. This smart filtering prevents unnecessary notification noise while ensuring you never miss messages in conversations you haven't viewed.
