Typing Indicators

See when team members are typing in shared workspaces. Real-time indicators help coordinate conversations.

Typing Indicators show when other workspace members are composing messages. When someone starts typing in a shared workspace conversation, their name appears over the message area with an animated typing indicator. The indicator disappears when they stop typing or send their message.

The feature works in all conversations within shared workspaces—both regular chats and channels. See multiple typing indicators when several team members compose messages simultaneously. Each person's name displays separately, so you know exactly who is typing. This helps coordinate responses and prevents message conflicts.

Typing indicators appear in real-time with minimal delay. The indicator updates as team members type, pause, or send messages. Use this to know when to wait for a teammate's response or when it's your turn to contribute to the conversation.
